Most people say, “I’m not addicted to anything, I don’t go crazy about something and spend the night doing something or start fidgeting and feel uncomfortable without something.” Ironically, the most people who say that are unconsciously addicted to something.  The people who say, “Am I addicted to something?” are usually ok and have nothing to worry about . Why? Because they’re careful. Your more likely not to fall in a hole if you’re looking on the ground and being careful than just running around not caring. It’s nice to look up once in a while, because it’s the only  way to find out if your in a hole and climb yourself out. If you want to know if your addicted to something, trying living your everyday life without that thing for a week. If there seem to be empty spaces in your life without it, you probably are. Most people, including me, refuse to get help on addiction because they don’t want to admit they’re addicted or they’re too embarrassed to say it. The best way to get rid of addiction is to get help from family, friends, or teachers that care about you. If you want to solve it yourself, it’s going to be harder. You don’t need to completely isolate yourself from that thing, you just need to cut down to a limit where it’s not too serious and it becomes just a hobby. I was addicted to computer games. I made it an important part of my life and played it every day. I became obsessed with it so much and thought I would become a loner if I didn’t play games with my friends. First, be yourself, find another hobby that you love that can actually help you. I started this blog so I could get over my addiction with computer games.  Start thinking about your addiction in the most negative way and recognize how bad it is. You tend to do automatically do less of something if you know how bad it is. Set limits for yourself, such as doing it only on weekends and only 1 hour a day. Try to forget Fridays are the end of the week, we let ourselves go too far on Fridays because we think, “We’ve had so much stress this week and it just ended and TGIF!!!” that’s totally wrong. Punish yourself for breaking your own rules. Haunt yourself with your conscience and make rules like, if I play computer games on the weekends, I can’t play them for 2 weeks.
